# Compare policy results between revisions

Use this tutorial to measure whether a revision change improved compliance.

### Before you start

* You need access to the target app.
* Both revisions must already be checked.

### Open the app revisions

Go to the [App page](/dashboards/app.md).

Open the **Revisions** tab for the app you want to review.

### Start a comparison

Select the newer revision first.

Then choose **compare**.

### Select the baseline revision

Choose an older revision to compare against.

Use a revision that represents the last known good state.

### Review what changed

Open the comparison results.

Check which results are new, unchanged, or resolved.

Use this view to confirm whether the latest work reduced policy failures.
